14 and 15 September 2024 (Saturday and Sunday) will be the 20th Tour de Ghaap Ultra Mountain Bike race. It starts in Ulco.

Ulco is situated approximately 80 kms North – West of Kimberley on the R31 en route to Postmansburg. On the first day a distance of 73 kms is covered on a circular route, and on the second day a circular route of 48 kms on a more technical course with fast sections with jeep track in between.

Day one places emphasis on speed and endurance.

Day 2 concentrates on more technical skills.

On route on day one there are 4 water and energy points and on day two 3 water and energy points. At base camp Ulco is food and drinks provided from Friday evening until Sunday lunch. Cyclists and their families are responsible for their own tents and camping gear.

Registration is at Ulco from 12h00 Friday 13 September 2024. Ablution facilities are available at the campsite in Ulco.

Friday evening is pasta evening.
On Saturday morning breakfast from 06h45, lunch after stage 1, on Saturday evening a full “Northern Cape” braai is given. Sunday breakfast again from 06h45 and a full lunch for all riders and paid visitors.

A cash bar will be available for the whole weekend.

The race starts at 08h00 on Saturday and Sunday morning in Ulco. The little ones take part in a mini race at 16h00 also in Ulco at the campsite. Departure after the events prizegiving and lunch on Sunday will be at 13h00. The costs for the event vary per category per rider.
