RIDERS INFORMATION

New Pricing for 2023:

Family member Package: 1st Adult R2000 2nd Adult R1500 and the following rider R1500
Individuals: Riders riding individual team R2000
All u/16: R500
Team entries: R6000 per team [ 4 members per team ]
Non-Riders u/12: R200 for the weekend
Non-Riders Adults: R500 for the weekend

Additional Short Ride Option:
Individual Short Ride: Riders riding individual team R2000
u/16 Short Ride:  Ridres under 16 R500

9 and 10 September 2023 (Saturday and Sunday) will be the 18th Tour de Ghaap Ultra Mountain Bike race. It starts in Ulco. Ulco is situated approximately 80 kms North – West of Kimberley on the R31 en route to Postmansburg.

Long Ride:
Day 1 – 73km
Day 2 – 55 =km

Short Ride:
Day 1 – 45km
Day 2 – 48km

Long Ride:On the first day a distance of 73 kms is covered on a new circular route, and on the second day a new circular route of 55 kms on a more technical course with fast sections with jeep track in between.

Day one places emphasis on speed and endurance. Day 2 concentrates on more technical skills.

On route on day one there are 4 water and energy points and on day two 3 water and energy points. At base camp Ulco is food and drinks provided from Friday evening until Sunday lunch. Cyclists and their families are responsible for their own tents and camping gear. Registration is at Ulco from 12h00 Friday 8 September 2023. Ablution facilities are available at the campsite in Ulco.
