Tour de Ghaap Ultra Mountain Bike Race is more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of endurance, adventure, and community. This will be our 22nd edition, this iconic 2-day stage race in the Northern Cape invites riders to conquer, breathtaking landscapes, and the legendary dust that “tells stories.” Hosted in Ulco, northwest of Kimberley.



Where

It all kicks off in Ulco, a chilled little town about 80 km northwest of Kimberley, right on the R31 toward Postmansburg. It's the perfect base for a weekend of adrenaline, dust, and serious good vibes.



Day 1: 45km or 75km

Two Distance Options:
Short: 45km or Long 75km
Consisting of open roads, great flow, and plenty of space to stretch your legs and test your endurance. There are 4 water & energy points to keep you fresh and flying!



Day 2: 50km

A 50 km loop with fast-paced sections, jeep tracks, and the kind of terrain that’ll keep you on your toes. 3 water & energy points along the way.



Weekend Fun

We’ve got Base Camp Ulco sorted for the full weekend!
From Friday evening to Sunday lunch, it’s all about good food, lekker vibes, and chilled company.

🍝 Friday night = Pasta night.
🍳 Saturday + Sunday breakfast served from 06h45 (yes, there’s coffee too!).
🍔 Saturday lunch after Stage 1.
🔥 Saturday night = Full-on Northern Cape braai.
🍽️ Sunday = Lunch for all riders and paid visitors after the ride.
